Posted on 25/05/2026
May 2026 – ATREVIA®, Petmedica®’s next-generation oral antiparasitic, made a highly successful appearance at the León Veterinary Congress (CVDL) Honduras 2026, held from May 14 to 15 at the Copantl Convention Center in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
The event drew over 300 attendees, including veterinarians, clinic owners, and animal health professionals. Dr. Luis Alfredo Chávez Balarezo, International Technical-Commercial Manager, presented the key attributes and advanced mechanism of action of ATREVIA®, generating significant interest due to its high efficacy—backed by field studies and proven results.
Its fluralaner-based formulation provides superior control against infestations by major ectoparasites in dogs (ticks, fleas, and mites) for up to 12 weeks; furthermore, it is highly palatable, making administration easy. The company also showcased its complete portfolio specialized for companion animals, featuring nutritional products such as the Cani-Tabs® line—nutritional supplements for every life stage of dogs and cats—and Petonic® Recuperation, a nutraceutical recovery formula for dogs and cats, enhanced with nucleotides. This exhibition allowed veterinarians and industry entrepreneurs to experience the latest technology in animal welfare firsthand and engage in conversations with industry experts.
ATREVIA® established a strong presence right from the entrance with its "El Amor Cuida" (Love Cares) campaign—an initiative that celebrates and strengthens the emotional bond between owners and their pets through prevention and responsible care, placing the veterinarian at the very center of this effort across eight countries in the region. ATREVIA®’s presence was highlighted by an impressive entrance arch inspired by its campaign featuring Chayanne, which captured the attention of everyone present and became the event's designated photo spot.
Petmedica® expresses its gratitude for the excellent reception received from the Honduran veterinary community and reaffirms its commitment to continue developing innovative solutions that contribute to the health and well-being of pets.
