Synergistic broad-spectrum antibiotic association – treatment and prevention of bovine mastitis

Cattle Intramammary Suspension

Each 4.5 g syringe contains: Ampicillin (as trihydrate) 250 mg, Cloxacillin (as benzathine) 500 mg, Excipients q.s. 4.5 g.

Treatment and prevention of mastitis in cows during the drying period, caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus spp., Trueperella pyogenes and Escherichia coli sensitive to the ampicillin/cloxacillin association.

Clox-A-Dry® is administered intramammarily. Administer the contents of the syringe through the teat channel of each quarter as a single dose, immediately after the last milking of the lactation before starting the drying period. Milk affected quarters thoroughly. After thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the nipple and nipple orifice, gently infuse the contents of one syringe into the nipple canal of each affected quarter. Disperse the product by gently massaging the nipple and udder of the affected animal. Take precautions to prevent the syringe cannula from becoming contaminated. Do not milk after treatment.
