Oral route - Dermatophytosis, onychomycosis, Malassezia spp. dermatitis: 5 mg/kg every 24 hours, continuing for 1 week after complete resolution of clinical signs and/or evidence of mycological cure. Pulse therapy: 5 mg/kg every 24 hours for 2 consecutive days per week. - Susceptible systemic mycoses: 5–10 mg/kg PO once daily (or divided and administered every 12 hours). In general, treatment should be continued for at least 30–60 days after clinical resolution and/or evidence of mycologic cure. Infections such as lagenidiosis, zygomycosis, phaeohyphomycosis, or hyalohyphomycosis may require 10–15 mg/kg PO once daily for many months, as well as surgical resection and additional antifungal agents (e.g., terbinafine).
